Perico Bayou
Summary: I launched the kayak at Perico Bayou this morning around 7AM and the bite was very hot all day. I used a combination of live baits and lures throughout the day. I started the morning by fishing around the mangroves with live shrimp and landed a few nice redfish. I was also able to get an unexpected sheepshead by the mangroves. Then, I decided to paddle out to the deeper channel and start fishing that. I caught my first seatrout on a live shrimp. Once I found the trout, I switched to a paddletail on a 1/8 oz jighead and the bite was non-stop. I ended up catching around 10 trout in less than an hour.
