EG Simmons

Summary: Decided to try out a new spot at EG Simmons park today. It was a beautiful day and I ended up fishing from 10AM until about 3PM. We started the day off by trying live shrimp but wasn’t having a whole lot of luck. Then I decided to try some casting with the paddletail along the mangroves and the action started to pick up. I caught 3 trout before noon and then paddled out to the bay to try some other spots. No luck on the bay other than one bite. Then I decided to paddle back into the preserve and hit the mangroves. I ended up catching 5 more sea trout, all around 15-16 inches and one snook that was 22 inches. It was a great day and I will definitely be back out to that spot.

Total Fish: 8 sea trout, 1 snook
